Sisters Elizabeth White and Jacquelyn Tugwell launched Twine & Twig in late 2013, inspired by a love for the rustic outdoors and the casual calm of the Carolina coast. Featuring naturally sourced materials from around the world, each piece is designed, handcrafted, tied with their signature suede strap and made in their Charlotte-based studio.
Twine & Twig incorporates philanthropy into the core values & culture of the company. As mothers of five children, they work hard teaching them to recognize the value and importance of their future.
The brand's philanthropy record reads more like a diary because they choose causes that affect them personally and are near and dear to their hearts both medically and environmentally. In a digital age where it has become so easy to give money through social media outlets, they are excited to offer a unique and tangible way for customers to be a part of our mission. Their hope is that the pieces they create will be a conversation starter about different philanthropy objectives as well as becoming a symbol to remember your good deed. They love encouraging people to shop for a cause!
To date Twine & Twig has donated over $50,000 to a variety of charities and organizations, including Low Country Land Trust, Make-A-Wish, The Gyres Institute, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, along with countless more charities and causes. (Credit @Twine & Twig)
